"what are we going to do with all this future?"

Gucci posed this question to fashion lovers on the invite for their Fall 2017 show. To many of us, the future is uncertain or bleak, to be sure. But I'm reminded of another quote that has inspired me which Meryl Streep used in her Golden Globe speech from her dear friend Carrie Fisher: "Take your broken heart and turn it into art." That's exactly what Alessandro Michele has done with this collection.

His collection is called The Alchemist's Garden: An Anti-Modern Laboratory, thought this writer couldn't help but notice subtle hints of Wes Anderson too. The show featured everything from septum piercings to hoods, logos, glitter, mixed prints AF, and vibrant florals. So, after captivating everyone for a few seasons, where does Gucci go now with all this future?

This has become one of my new favorite designers. They're killing it, especially with those zip-front flatform boots.

I can't wait to try mixing plaids. I'm doing it.
