Okay, don't do that. I am not here to advocate eating disorders. But I LOVE Cassie Ainsworth from the UK teen show Skins. And what makes her lovely isn't her frail figure, but her adorable thrift store/vintage style and spacey personality. She is just too cute with her imperfect teeth and humongous smile.

I only just started to watch the show on the recommendation of many friends, and I definitely see what I've been missing. The show itself is well-written, hilarious, and heart-wrenching at the same time. I was instantly inspired by Cassie's tulle hair pins, sailor shirts, vintage red lips, and socks with her tights. She'd make a fabulous thrift store shopping buddy. I decided to find some pieces I think Cassie would approve of. "Oh, wow! Lovely!"

So begins award season! This year, I was really impressed with the amount of gorgeous dresses and hair styles at the Golden Globes. I cannot wait to see what these ladies and others wear to the Oscars. Anyway, here are some amazing Golden girls, street styles, and various events. Enjoy! 

Anne Hathaway

Knockout! Holy shit, I love this Armani gown. She (or maybe Rachel Zoe?) did an amazing job picking out a color that compliments her gorgeous skin tone and hair. Truly beautiful. Favorite of the evening.

Mila Kunis

I couldn't have imagined a better color on her. She has such a strong look with dark hair and intense eyes, that this regal emerald is the perfect match. Also, her hair is incredible. 

Helena Bonham-Carter

Yeah, yeah, all of the talk show hosts and blogs will call her the "worst" dressed. Do you think she cares? I love her style and this Vivienne Westwood dress is beautiful on her. She's basically giving a sartorial "fuck you" to everyone with the mismatched shoes and disheveled hair.

Michelle Williams

This is such a charming dress. It reminds me of one of my favorite Marc Jacobs' perfume Daisy, which is why I'm drawn to it.  I think she looks really cute. She has a quirky fashion sense, but this is still elegant and appropriate.  Worst dressed? Not to me! :)

Kate Moss

It was really hard to find a good outfit photo on this particular occasion. Doesn't she know that's crucial, to show off the outfit?  Especially when you're Kate Moss? Give the people what they want. Regardless, I love this outfit and will copy it to no end.

Where I live, there's snow on the ground. The only thing that gives me hope for pleasant weather is looking at bright colors and loud prints. This spring, we can look forward to the trend that keeps going strong every year: colorblock! Personally, I love this trend because there are no rules. Anything goes with colorblocking, and the bolder, the better with this one.

Or do they? Everyone loves girls in glasses. Are we really to believe that because a beautiful girls sports some specs that she's immediately the "nerdy", less-desirable friend (like Amanda Seyfried's character in 'Jennifer's Body' or any other teen movie where the geek becomes a babe because she takes off her glasses?). Give me a break. Wear your glasses proudly. I always gain a renewed love for my Chanel frames I see a sweet editorial or ad featuring lovely glasses.
