missoni fall 2013
Great use of color in this collection. I love the slouchy, oversized pieces as well as the paneling (especially with the tights).

missoni s/s 2012
Editor's comments: After the larger than life unveiling of the Missoni for Target collection, everyone was excited to see what the iconic fashion house would have in store for spring. They delivered gorgeous shades of cobalt blue and yellow with some beautiful fringe elements as well as mesmerizing patterns. If you were quick enough to get your hands on the (much) lower price point items at Target, then you have a special piece of iconography, you lucky thing. xox

links á la mode
For the second time in a year, I've been included in the weekly Links á la Mode roundup, courtesy of Independent Fashion Bloggers. Hooray! Thanks, guys, for including my Missoni for Target post. This was quite the hit, as Target has been officially sold out of the elusive luxe for less collection. Enjoy the other links as well.
The saying, "what comes around, goes around" has been proven throughout the history of fashion. Stylish peeps the world over have been stimulated by trends of decades passed time and time again. This weeks Links A La Mode is influenced by your interpretation of fashion fads and trends interpreted to suit our modern world.
The funky 70's boho glam look is in full effect with flowing skirts, high waist lines and chunky platforms. Another trend making a loud avant garde blip on my radar is the classic ladylike look of the 50's and 60's. Women are embracing their curves and enhancing them with shape flattering silhouettes. Lastly, current fashion do's that continue to inspire me are clever use of sheer, crochet, macrame and lace fabrics. And last but not least, retro accessories are back in a huge way; statement bangles, fanny packs and cat eye shades are loud on the fashion forefront.

missoni for target: it's finally here!
Target's website crashed on account of the launch this morning, and it's no wonder. After seeing it in person at 8 AM, I was impressed with the quality and vibrant colors of the new Missoni for Target collection. I scored exactly what I arrived for after looking through hundreds of lookbooks.

orange crush
Orange you glad coral and orange are the IT colors for spring and summer? Sorry, had to. When I saw the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 show back in the fall, I knew we would all be in for a treat. I forgot how versatile the color orange is. It complements just about everything AND makes you think warm. Pretty soon, everyone was showcasing orange in some form. It's now started to make its way into the likes of JCrew, Urban Outfitters, and more. Don't be afraid to wear it now, either! Let's melt some snow.
